COMMUNITY / ASK, MEET, AND SHOW UP

A bigger community
when you want it.

Our meetups stay local. When you want to ask a question, find another group, or see a public AWS event, these are the official places to start.

COMMUNITY BUILDERS

AWS Community Builders is for people who like sharing what they learn. Members get education, networking, and a way to connect with product teams, Heroes, and other builders. A limited number join each year, and anyone can apply.

About Community Builders

RECOGNIZED EXPERTS

Heroes

AWS Heroes are experts recognized for teaching in public: talks, writing, open source, workshops, and user groups. Their profiles are a good way to find people to learn from.

ON CAMPUS

Students

AWS Student Builder Groups are student-led communities on post-secondary campuses. Enrolled students 18 and older can join a group or apply to start one. The program was formerly AWS Cloud Clubs.

OUT IN THE WORLD

Summits, re:Invent, and other public events.

Builder Center lists public events for builders. Summits and re:Invent each have their own AWS event page, and both are linked from that hub. Our local plans are separate: see the tentative schedule, then RSVP on Meetup once a date is published.

BUILDER CENTER

Public events

A list of live AWS events for builders: community gatherings, workshops, and conferences beyond our local calendar.

FREE AND IN PERSON

Summits

AWS Summits are free, in-person events in cities around the world. Builder Center points to the official summit schedule.

THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE

re:Invent

AWS re:Invent is the annual cloud conference. The official event page has the current city, dates, and how to register.

Workshops and tutorials already have a home.

Hands-on workshops, code samples, and beginner guides live in our learning resources, so they aren’t repeated here.
